Shuvi Dola (シュヴィ・ドーラ, Shuvi Dōra), frequently referred to as Schwi, is the main female protagonist of the movie No Game No Life: Zero. She is a highly advanced Ex-Machina unit who deliberately disconnected herself from her race's Hive Mind cluster to research the concept of the human "heart"—the illogical emotions that allowed humanity to survive in a world devastated by the Great War.

Biography and Story

During the catastrophic Great War, where powerful races like the Flügel and Elves decimated the planet Disboard, Shuvi observed an anomaly: humanity. Despite having no magic and being objectively the weakest race, humans stubbornly refused to go extinct. Driven by an error in her logical programming regarding this anomaly, she abandoned her cluster to investigate what she defined as the human "heart."

Her investigation leads her to cross paths with Riku Dola, the burdened leader of a human survivor colony. Initially, Shuvi approaches Riku purely as an object of study, acting entirely on machine logic and even demanding they "mate" to understand human reproduction and emotional bonds. However, as she spends more time with Riku, Corone, and the rest of the human settlement, her analytical, robotic demeanor begins to shift.

Through their shared trauma and determination, Shuvi genuinely begins to develop the very "heart" she set out to analyze. She and Riku fall deeply in love, eventually getting married and adopting the same surname. Together, they orchestrate an impossible, pacifist master plan to end the Great War without taking a single life. Their goal is to manipulate the stronger races into firing their ultimate weapons at a single point, piercing the planet's core to manifest the Suniaster (The Star Grail) and claim the title of One True God.

Tragically, while executing the final stage of their plan alone to protect a physically deteriorating Riku, Shuvi is intercepted by the powerful Flügel, Jibril. Recognizing that she cannot win the battle, Shuvi uses her final moments to fight desperately, buying enough time to synchronize back with the Ex-Machina cluster. She successfully uploads her acquired data—her emotions, her "heart," and her profound love for Riku—into the collective network. Her ultimate sacrifice convinces the entire Ex-Machina race to ally with Riku, enabling him to secure the Suniaster and end the war, giving birth to the world ruled by games under Tet.
